Answers to common questions, from how the qualifying agent relationship works to how findQualifier.com itself operates.
Qualifiers and Employers
A qualifying agent is a licensed professional whose credentials allow a business to legally operate, bid on work, and pull permits under state contractor licensing rules. Most states require a licensed individual to qualify a company before the company itself can be licensed.
Most licensing boards don't require the business owner to be the licensed qualifier. They allow a company to hire a qualifying agent as an employee instead — but that employment has to be real: the qualifier must be genuinely engaged in supervising the work, not renting or leasing use of their license. Requirements vary by state, so you should work with a lawyer to understand what applies to you.
The qualifying agent becomes an employee of the company they qualify, and takes on the supervisory responsibilities their state's licensing board requires. Exact duties and level of involvement vary by state and by agreement between the two parties. That relationship, and its terms, are worked out directly between the qualifier and the company — findQualifier.com isn't a party to it.
findQualifier.com
It's a job board. Qualifiers post a listing advertising their availability to work and license type. Companies post a listing when they need to fill a job opening with a licensed qualifying agent. Both are publicly searchable by state and trade, and anyone can reach out through a listing's contact form. From there, the two parties work out the relationship directly.
No. findQualifier.com doesn't verify license status, employment terms, or any other detail on a listing. That's a deliberate choice — we're a listings platform, not a licensing authority or a background-check service. It's your responsibility to verify a prospective hire's credentials, just as you would for any other employee — your state's public licensing lookup is a good place to start.
No. We publish advertisements and let interested parties contact each other — that's it. We don't match, recommend, screen, or place anyone, and we're not involved in the relationship once the first message is sent.
Listings are shown by how recently they were created or renewed — each renewal moves your listing back toward the top. Every listing gets a chance to be top of the list, rather than the same ones staying on top indefinitely.
Yes. If you have an active listing, we'll email you as soon as a new listing goes up in your state and trade on the other side of the board — a new employer ad if you're a qualifier, or a new qualifier ad if you're an employer. You can unsubscribe from these alerts at any time without affecting your listing.
Getting Started

The platform supports the trades and states currently listed, but we're adding more as demand comes in. If you don't see your trade or state, email support@findqualifier.com and let us know — we'll consider adding it.
Contact & Privacy
No. Your phone number and email are never displayed publicly. Listings show your professional details — license, trade, location, and experience. First contact is made through a form to protect your contact information, then you are free to communicate directly outside of our platform.
Anyone interested in your listing fills out a contact form. That message is relayed to you by email. From there, you decide whether and how to respond — the conversation happens directly between you and them, outside our platform.
Automated spam is blocked by CAPTCHA on the contact form. For manual spam or solicitations unrelated to genuine interest in your listing, every relayed message includes instructions for reporting it — confirmed spam senders are blacklisted from contacting listings again.
